RRB NTPC has released a notification to fill up a vacancy of 35,208 for the post of Non-Technical Popular Categories in various units of Indian Railways. The candidates need to undergo 4 stages of the selection process – 1st Stage and 2nd Stage is Computer Based Test (CBT), common for all posts and includes questions from General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. 3rd stage is Computer Based Aptitude Test/Typing Test (applicable only for certain posts), and finally the Document Verification round for the selected candidates.
The Stage I CBT of RRB NTPC includes a total of 100 questions – 40 questions from the General Awareness section and 30 each from the Mathematics and General Reasoning. Every question carries 1 mark and there is 1/3rd negative marking for wrong answers.Time duration of Stage I CBT is 90 minutes.The Stage II of RRB NTPC CBT Exam includes a total of 120 questions – 50 questions from the General Awareness section and 35 questions from the Mathematics and General Intelligence section. The paper is of 120 marks, each 1 mark question and 1/3rd negative marking for wrong answers. Time duration is again 90 minutes.
